How to play
Daily Solitaire is a daily puzzle variation of Klondike Solitaire. Every day, you'll receive a different arrangement of cards to play as a puzzle. Each solitaire puzzle a variation of the game. You can have fun solving a brand new draw each day, and discuss with friends how to best solve specific puzzle draws.
When you start the game, you'll arrive at the calendar menu. From here, you can pick a deck. Each day has a differently dealt deck for a 3-card draw or a 1-card draw depending on the difficulty. The stars on each day will tell you the difficulty of the puzzle, while the score mark below lets you know how much you can win per day. You can see your monthly progress in the bar below.
NOTE: This is an explanation on how to play Classic/Klondike Solitaire, which can also be found in our guide for Klondike Solitaire
Goal. The aim of the daily solitaire puzzle is to order a 52-deck of cards into four suited piles, with the ace of the suit at the bottom and the king at the top.
The piles are called tableaus, and they are laid out on the table from left to right:
- Single card
- Two cards
- Three cards
- Four cards
- Five cards
- Six cards
- Seven cards
The bottom card in each tableau is face-up, and the remaining 24 cards (those not dealt out) remain in a single pile called the stock.
NOTE: once all the cards are laid out, you then move individual cards from the stock to make your four suited piles
How to make moves. This is how to move your cards when you’re playing Klondike / Classic Solitaire online:
- Stack solitaire cards sequentially from ace to king by suit on the foundation piles. Each foundation has its suit.
- Fill the foundations by suit & in ascending order. The goal is to fill the four foundation stacks with cards separated by suit and arranged in order of value, from lowest to highest (Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, king)
- Add kings to empty stacks. Kings can be dragged to empty card stacks.
- Draw cards by clicking on the deck. Click on the deck in the upper left corner to draw cards.
- Flip a card to find its value. Click on a face-down solitaire card to flip it face up and see its value.
- 1 or 3 draws. Cards are dealt from the reserve to the waste one or three at a time, based on which you choose to start.
You can play the top card on the waste to the table or to the foundations.

Scoring
General Formula:
Monthly Score = Puzzle Score + Daily Bonus + Monthly Bonus
The Puzzle Score depends on the complexity.
Easy | 100 pts |
Medium | 200 pts |
Hard | 300 pts |
Expert | 400 pts |
Daily Bonus = 50 points. If a player solves a puzzle in the calendar on the same day, the Daily Bonus of 50 pts is awarded.
Monthly Bonus = 3000 points. If the player solves all puzzles of the month, the Monthly Bonus of 3000 pts is awarded.
EXAMPLE: Monthly Score = Puzzle Score + Daily Bonus + Monthly Bonus = 100 + 50 + 0 = 150 points.
What happens when a new month starts?
At the start of a new month, your monthly score will reset to zero again.
In the example above, if the last puzzle you completed in August was on the 31st, on September 1st, you start again from zero.
NOTE: keep in mind, Arkadium players are located across the world, but our leaderboards are set on Eastern Time, which in the winter months (EST) is five hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-05:00) and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) during the summer months which is four hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-04:00). So, while you may be playing your game on August 31st at 9:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), it's already September 1st at 12:30 AM EST, so the leaderboards may already reset your monthly score
