BACK TO THE GAMES

Crystal Collapse Odyssey is a new and exciting variation of Crystal Collapse by Arkadium.

The game contains a variety of fun challenges to play through, and reasons to always keep coming back for more.

How to play

Match clusters of crystals, create exciting combos and reach new heights of fun in this captivating collapse-style game. You can clear crystals by clicking on clusters of 3 or more of a single color. Your objective is to clear the tiles shown on the left.

General rules. Click or tap crystal clusters to clear them.

Goal. To advance to the next level you need to complete the level goal - clear all obstacles. You can find the level goal in the widget on the left. The more levels you complete, the more difficult goals you get.

EXAMPLE: On the screenshot below the goal is to clear 12 log tiles

NOTE: Make a match near obstacles to clear them. The number on obstacles indicates how many matches you need to make to clear them

After each level, you'll see a completion screen and your unused turns will be turned into a higher score. The larger the number of stars, the better the performance.

If you run out of moves, you'll be able to pay coins to keep playing. If you can't, you'll lose a life. You have 5 lives per day to keep playing, or you can earn more lives and coins through rewards.

Starting the game, you'll have different options from which to choose.

  1. This is your Display Picture. It will appear if you're signed in. Otherwise, a "Sign In" icon will appear, allowing you to sign in or create an Arkadium Account.
  2. The Life gauge will tell you how many lives you have left. You have 5 lives maximum. You lose a life each time you run out of moves when attempting to beat a level.
  3. The Coin counter tells you how many coins you have, and enables you to access the store.
  4. This is the Rewards icon. It's available once per day, and it will award you with several items. Don't miss it each day! As long as you log in and claim it, you can save it for your next play.
  5. The Settings allow you to switch Sound and Music on or off, and to choose whether you'd like to play the game's tutorial.
  6. The Daily Missions are changed each day. If you fulfill any of them during the time they last, you can claim them on the menu for a special reward.
  7. Here, you can start playing the game from the last level you've played.

When opening the Settings menu, a side tab will appear, showing several options.

Sound will turn the sounds of the game on or off when clicking the icon.

Music will turn the music of the game on or off when clicking the icon.

Tutorial selects whether or not you want to see an explanation of how the game is played when you start a new game.

The Daily Missions window will show you the objectives you can complete for the day and the rewards you'll get for them.

You can claim a Daily Bonus once each day. You'll have access to another bonus by watching an ad. You can check how long until the next bonus can be claimed below the window.

Special Tiles

Sometimes, you may see special tiles appear in the game. These will help you progress through the levels.

North Star.  Match 5 or 6 crystals to create a North Star power that blasts away crystals in a horizontal or vertical direction.

Bear Paw. Match 7 or 8 crystals to create a Bear Paw power that clears a 3x3 group of crystals on your board.

Phoenix. Match 9 or more crystals to create a Phoenix tile that clears any crystals of the same color.

Power combos. Match adjacent special tiles to activate a power combo. These are extremely powerful. The more you match, the more crystals you'll clear. Try matching different types to see the results.

You can also store these power-ups in your inventory below by purchasing them at the store or winning them on rewards, and use them on any block when you prefer.

Obstacles

These obstacles must be cleared in the game, as part of different objectives.

Wood. Wood can be cleared by collapsing crystals next to it. Cracked wood will disappear after one match. Uncracked wood, after two matches.

Hedges. Hedges can be cleared by collapsing any crystal next to it. They can also form groups, which need to be cleared several times.

Stones. Stones can only be cleared by powers.

Bubbles. Make a match with a crystal inside the bubble and watch it disappear.

Candle. Make a match next to a candle to collect flames. Collecting flames can be part of the objective. Reuse candles as many times as you like, as they will not clear from the board.

At times, blocks may be encased in ice, not allowing you to match them. You can free them by matching next to the ice.

Hidden CrystalsThese can be collected by making a match next to the ice.

HazelnutsThese can be collected by making a match next to them.

Potion BottlesBreak each of them by making a match of the same color next to them.

NOTE: There are other, surprise obstacles that await in further levels. We won't spoil the surprise, be sure to have your tutorial on to learn about them!

Shop

Crystal Collapse Odyssey has a shop that sells useful items, for when you're attempting to play through some of the harder challenges.

In order to access it, simply click on the coin icon at the beginning, or the shop icon below. Either one will take you to the shop.

Opening the score will let you see a variety of options. You can purchase many different types of coin and boost bundles. You can click on See More Offers to continue browsing the shop, and either the Cross or Home icon to exit.

Scoring

Due to the level-based format of Crystal Collapse Odyssey, it functions on a level progression system, and it does not post any scores to the leaderboard.
