This article contains everything you need to know about Arkadium’s Word Clash Game.

Use the list below to navigate specific topics about Word Clash.

Word Clash is a fun word match game where you go against many different opponents to win a battle of word creation. How many words can you make with the available letters? Can you think of a word more complex than your opponent's? Can you beat the clock and come out victorious?

How to play

Playing Word Clash is very simple. Similarly to some of the games we already provide on the website, such as Outspell and Word Hunt. The aim of the game is to create words by using the letters that are provided. The longer and more complex the word is, the bigger your score. You play against an opponent that will also try to come up with long and complex words. The goal of the game, is to score higher than your opponent, by coming up with higher scoring words in your turn.

You can create words by holding down your mouse button (or finger, if you're playing on a mobile device) and drag it through the letters you see in order, to make a word, as shown here:

If you're having doubts about what words you can create, you can always press the shuffle button to shuffle all of the letters, to let you see other options.

NOTE: There's no limit to using the Shuffle button, so use it as many times as you like!

When it's your turn to play, you'll be timed. You'll see the time limit in a blue bar above the play area. The bar tells you how long you have to create a word. When the time limit is up, your turn will be over, whether or not you've created the word.

Above the timer, you'll see your available moves. Each move, an extra ball will be removed from its slot. Each ball represents the moves that you still have.

When it's your turn, the game will be colored blue. When it's your opponent's turn, you'll see that the game will be colored red, as shown on the image below. During this time, you will not be able to play until your opponent finishes their turn.

This is how the game is structured:

  1. Score Panel. Here, you're able to see yours and your opponent's scores.
  2. Moves. Here, your moves are displayed. The balls in the slots indicates how many moves each player still has.
  3. Timer. You can see how long you or your opponent still has to play in your/their turn. As soon as the timer's up, the turn is up.
  4. Achieved words. You can see all of the words you and your opponent have managed to achieve this match. Yours will be marked in blue, while your opponent's will be marked in red.
  5. Current word. This displays the current word being created.
  6. Shuffle. Click here to shuffle the currently available letters. You can use this as many times as you lilke.
  7. End match. Click here to forfeit the match and end the game.
  8. Options. You can turn your sound and music on or off in this menu.

Boosts

You can use boosts to improve your play. There are two types of boosts: Timer Refills, and Hints.

NOTE: Boosts are numbered. You will not be able to use them if the counter is 0.

Timer Refills will completely refill the timer bar when you're in need of it.

Hints will let you know a possible word you can make.

You can earn more boosts by clicking above the game's main menu, or by using the roulette.

Clicking on a specific boost will give you the option to watch ads in exchange for boosts.

Using the roulette will award you a random boost in exchange for watching an ad.

These boosts will then be available to be used in any match.

Scoring

The game of Word Clash doesn't have the typical model of scoring the same way other Arkadium titles do. As opposed to other games, the objective of Word Clash is to play against others in direct word matches for a higher word score.
