How to play

In Cooking Live, you have to manage all aspects of a restaurant kitchen, and deliver meals to all of the incoming customers. You'll have to check each order, fulfill it as quickly as possible, and have as many happy customers until the end of your shift.

The kitchen may appear to look complex at first, but all of the game's actions are based upon a set of simple actions around cooking what the customers want from your workstation. This is how it will look like:

You'll see the upper elements of the game, which tell you how many Customers you have to serve in this level, the amount of Coins you have to earn to finish the level and the possible Accidents currently occuring in the kitchen.

In the middle, is where the customers will make their requests. For example, this customer wants A plate of eggs and tomato, and an orange juice.

For the orange juice, you can find their station on the right. You can select a glass to give to the customer. A new glass will be made, but you'll have to wait for it to refill. Each customer that asks for the juice, you'll have to wait for a new glass to be made.

Now let's check on the eggs and tomato. Let's focus on the eggs first. Grab an egg from the box by clicking on them, and wait for them to cook. Don't wait too long, or it will burn! After it's cooked, quickly click on it to pass it to the plate.

You can then click on the tomatoes to put them on the plate, and click on the plate to hand it to the customer.

Muffins are also another kitchen essential. Every customer who wants one, you can bake them in the oven. Simply click on the oven and a muffin will be ready in no time. Click on the Muffin to hand it to the customer.

You need to give customers what they want, before their timer bars next to their requests run out. The quicker you achieve their requests, the happier they will be. The happier the customer, the more coins you will receive for your order.

Fulfilling multiple orders quickly leads to Combos. These will earn more coins for you, as seen on the top right of the game. The larger the combo, the higher the pay.

At the end of a level, you'll receive rewards, such as Coins, Supplies and Gems. Coins can be used to purchase different goods and upgrade your kitchen. Supplies are needed to cook at the start of any level. Gems are used on various upgrades and purchases.

Upgrades will make your kitchen appliances more effective. As you can see here, it's possible to choose to upgrade appliances such as the Skillet to fry eggs, or the Juicer to make orange juice, to be faster and be able to make more dishes.

You can choose between upgrading the kitchen appliances or the food by using the left marker.

When starting a level, you'll see a window that explains your objectives and options for this level.

In the Goals section you'll see two icons. These represent the two different objectives. In this case, in order to finish the level, you must earn 144 Coins and serve 17 Customers.

There are many other goal types, some of which contain new elements, such as Likes, which are unlocked as you play.

You'll also see three possible Boosters.

The Pan Shield makes it so that the food you cook in pans doesn't burn. It will stay safe in the pan without having the need to remove it early.

The Coin Bonus will give you extra coins for each dish you make for customers.

The Instant Cooking will make the process of any dish instantaneous, leaving you to focus on cooking without having to watch for timers.

All three of these Boosters are unlocked at different levels as you play through the game. You can get more boosters as you play, or through the Ads Shop.

This is the Main Menu's structure:

1. Gems. This will tell you how many gems you currently have. Gems can be used for upgrades. Click here to purchase more gems by watching ads.
   
2. Coins. This will tell you how many coins you have. Coins can be used for upgrades and retries. Click here to purchase more coins by watching ads.
3. Level progress. The level progress bar will tell you how far you have to reach further levels, and gain extra rewards.
4. Supplies. You need supplies to cook in each level. You will also gain supplies by finishing levels successfully. When you run out of supplies, you'll have to wait until they are resupplied until you can play again. You can also click here to purchase more supplies by watching ads.
5. Settings. Click here to change the in-game options, that include switching on or off sound and music.
   
6. Upgrades. Click here to upgrade your kitchen. You can upgrade the speed at which appliances work, the number of appliances or the score that food provides to you.
7. Next upgrade. Clicking here tells you whether you have any incoming upgrade for your kitchen.
8. Next level. Click here to play the next level of the game.

Tips

This chapter is about some strategies on how to perform better.

Eggs. In the first few levels, make sure there are always a few eggs in the pan. They take some time to fully burn, so it's useful to always have a nice level of meals prepped and ready to be served.

Hungry Customers. Never forget to prioritize the customers with the lower timer bar. A good performance will always prove to be the best way to get through a level.

Upgrade!!. Your cooking is only as good as your kitchen. Upgrading your appliances will give you much better result, in particular being able to have several prepped meals at one single time.

Scoring

The Cooking Live game has no scoring system. There is no way to save score in the Cooking Live game. This game is meant to be a fun cooking game, without a specific scoring system or leaderboard. The game is incompatible with the regular competitive Arkadium leaderboards, and it's meant for simple fun progression.
