How to play
Jewel Quest is a match-3 game where you go through levels by matching jewels in the entire game grid.
You can select between different levels in the starting screen. Cleared levels will have a star score beside them. Not yet completed levels will shine, as seen with level 2 below. Locked levels will have a lock. Unlock these levels by clearing the ones before. Click on a level and the lower arrow to start.
Each level will have a set grid. You can pause the game by clicking on the pause icon on the upper right, and below it, you can mute the game's volume. You can see the timer below, as well as the current score, and best level score.
The game's objective is to match gems to make matches of 3 to make the grid golden. When the entire grid is golden, you will have finished the level.
As more of the grid turns gold, you'll need to match gems that may not have nearby matches.
If this happens, try matching three Coins.
By matching them, you will get one Midas Touch.
By clicking on it and on any square in the grid, you can turn it automatically to gold.
When you fill in the entire grid with gold, you will win the level and will be awarded with points and a ranking.
Levels will become more complex as you play, with different formats and more types of jewels.
Tips
In order to get better at Jewel Quest, make sure to:
Prioritize Corners & Edges First
These spots are often the hardest to match. Try to clear them early before you're left with no moves.
Focus on Making Gold Tiles
The goal isn’t just matching – it’s turning tiles gold. Make matches over tiles that haven't turned yet.
Plan Combos Ahead
Look for potential chain reactions. Setting up combos can help cover tricky spots and score bonuses
- Avoid Random Swaps
Each move counts. Random matches can leave key areas unworked or destroy your setup.
- Replay Earlier Levels for Practice
If you’re stuck later, replay earlier stages to get better at spotting patterns and combos.
Enjoy your Jewel Quest adventure!
Scoring
Jewel Quest is a game focused on level progression. Due to this, it's not compatible with the Arkadium website's leaderboards.
