How to play
Tic Tac Dough is a variation of the regular Tic Tac Toe game, based on the popular game show. The game is played just like regular Tic Tac Toe, with three X or O placed in a line to win.
At the start, choose a difficulty mode. You can also choose Versus to play against someone next to you. This will start a mode where both players use the same mouse to play.
The game acts as a regular version of Tic Tac Toe. You will automatically play as X while your opponent plays as X.
You can click on the space you like to insert your symbol. The opponent will then play automatically. You can check your score and the game's timer on top, as well as the lives you still have left. You have 3 lives, which correspond to 3 times you can lose.
You will see the rounds at the bottom. If you win or tie, you'll move onto the next round. Each stage will have more rounds, presented via these lightbulbs. The higher the difficulty, the more rounds you will have to go through.
Go through all of the rounds and you'll move onto the next stage. Finish all stages to win!
Tips
Here are some tips to improve at the game:
1. Take the Center First (if you’re X)
If you go first, start in the center square.
It's the most powerful spot—it gives you the most options to create 2-way wins.
2. Block and Anticipate
Always look at what your opponent could do next and block a winning move.
3. Force a Fork (or Block One)
A fork is when you set up two winning moves at once. Your opponent can only block one.
If you see your opponent about to create a fork, stop it early.
4. Opposite Corners
If your opponent is in one corner, taking the opposite corner can limit their options.
5. Don’t Waste Moves
Avoid placing in the edges (sides) unless it’s strategic. They’re usually the least powerful positions.
