This article contains everything you need to know about Arkadium’s Train Miner Game.

Use the list below to navigate specific topics about Train Miner.

How to play

Train Miner's an entertaining game about running a mining railroad. All you need to do, is make your train go around the track as it collects more and more materials.

As you mine more materials, these will be collected in the side bar. There's a limit to how much you can collect. Once you reach the limit, you will not collect any more materials.

You can then sell the materials for money by stopping at the factory. When you stop, all of your materials will be exchanged for money.

Money can be then used to upgrade your train. Add adds a new wagon to your train, which will add to the wagons that mine materials around the tracks. Merge will merge two wagons of the same level into one of a superior level. Speed will increase the overall speed of the train, and Capacity will increase the amount of materials that you can carry. Each of them will have their level displayed on the bottom.

You can merge two Level 1 Wagons into one Level 2 Wagon. This wagon will cut much more, in a faster way. Soon, you'll be able to builld a powerful train with a large number of wagons, capable of carrying many materials.

As you mine more and more materials, the train tracks will expand, allowing you to mine different kinds of materials as you reach different levels of territory. The track will become larger and larger as you go.

At times, you'll have bonuses available in exchange for watching an ad.

NOTE: Since this represents an extra mechanic, the ad-watching option is available even for subscribers.

By accepting it, you'll have a temporary bonus that will multiply specific characteristics of your train.

As you keep playing, your train will become much larger and more powerful, capable of mining the large scale world.

Once you've finished mining everything in the area, you'll be able to move onto the next level.

You can select between all of the different levels in the world map.

Simply click on an unlocked level to proceed.

In newer levels, you'll find further elements such as the TNT. This can clear chunks of material blocks next to your train.

Proceed further through the game to find more surprises!

At any time, you can change the game's options by clicking on the top left settings wheel.

This will open the settings menu, which you can use to turn the sound and music on and off.

Tips

Since Train Miner is an idle game without a losing condition, made for relaxation and fun, there isn't a strict way to play. But should you be hungry for optimizing your mining, here are some tips:

1. Focus on Early ROI (Return on Investment)

  • Buy cheap, high-return upgrades first. Early in the game, it’s all about getting the most value per cost.

  • Prioritize upgrades or wagons that quickly pay for themselves.

2. Don’t Ignore Extras

  • As soon as boosts becomes available (such as TNT), Use them usely. It frees you from having to mine through hard-to-pass sections and other hurdles.

3. Use Multipliers

  • Flat increases are good, but multipliers (e.g., 2x all income) are almost always better in the long run. Check the ad multipliers to see how far you can go.

Scoring

Train Miner is an idle game to play for fun, and as such, has no scoring element or connection with the Arkadium leaderboards.
