BACK TO THE GAMES

This article contains everything you need to know about Arkadium’s Pearls of Atlantis Game.

Use the list below to navigate specific topics about Pearls of Atlantis.

How to play

Pearls of Atlantis is a treasure-hunting match 3 game, where you match three or more of the same color pearls to descend a bottomless trench in search for treasure. You do this by dropping them into the match, as seen here.

As you match pearls, others will be affected by the physics of the pile and will descend to match more of their own color. You can achieve enormous combos through this!

However, you have a limited number of Pearls to use. You'll be able to see the number on the top left. Here, you can also click to exchange between two different available color pearls, to better match your strategy.

You can earn more moves by matching numbered pearls. These will add moves to your total.

In each level, you'll have to descend to the treasure's location, as seen in on the left of the screen. The arrow will descend as you get close to the treasure at the end of each level.

When you reach the bottom with the treasure box, it's up to you to match the pearl containing the key. This will open the treasure box and hand you the reward.

Be careful, as the walls will close in from time to time and hinder your range of movement to throw pearls.

Pearls with Shells will give you Shells. You will earn both coins and shells as you play.

You can see your shell total at the bottom right of the screen. These are useful to purchase power-ups as you play.

Pearls with Dynamite will explore several pearls around them as they're matched. There are many other hazard pearls that will appear as you play.

When finishing a level, you'll be able to choose a reward from the treasure you've unlocked.

Some levels will have an Item Shop instead of a treasure. Use the coins you've earned to pick up items.

You will see several power-ups available on the right. Available ones will have a number on the top right and will be displayed in color. The black and white ones are not available until you collect them.

This is what each power-up does:

Hammer clears the first pearl it touches.

Jellyfish finds a helpful pearl and collects it.

Lightning clears 5 random pearls.

Bouncy Spring clears pearls it bounces on.

Bomb clears pearls in a large circle.

Trident Beam erases all pearls it passes through.

Should you run out of moves, you can pay an amount to stay in the game, or watch an ad to stay in the game for free. By pressing Continue, you quit the match.

After reaching a Game Over, you'll be able to use all of the Shells you've won in the Shell Shop. This shop allows you to purchase permanent upgrades for your game.

When starting the game once again, you'll be able to see your personal best, and access the Shell Shop whenever you want.

You can click on the top right for the settings menu.

This will allow you to turn off sound and music, and change your language.

Tips

Always keep in mind these tips to become better at the game:

  • Plan Ahead – Always check the next pearl and aim for matches that will cause chain reactions or clear space near the top.

  • Master Angles – Use walls and obstacles for bank shots to reach tricky clusters; practice your aim and rebounds.

  • Clear Smart – Focus on top rows, locked pearls, and barriers first to keep the board open and manageable.

  • Use Power-Ups Wisely – Save boosters for tough spots or final moves, not just when they appear.

And above all, have fun!

Scoring

Pearls of Atlantis is a game focused on level progression while unlocking progress bonuses for later games. Due to this, it does not fit Arkadium's general leaderboards. It's not compatible with typical scoring algorithms.
