BACK TO THE GAME

This article contains everything you need to know about Arkadium’s Blockbuster Puzzle Game.

Use the list below to navigate specific topics about Blockbuster Puzzle.

How to play

Blockbuster Puzzle is a fun block line-making game in the tradition of Arkadium titles such as Block Champ. To play, simply drag the pieces onto the puzzle board, where they fit, and try to create lines of blocks. When you create lines of blocks, these lines will disappear, allowing you to fit more pieces. Clear more lines at once for more points. If you clear lines repeatedly, you'll create combos. The more moves in a row with cleared lines, the higher the combo.

But be careful. If you run out of room for your pieces, you will lose. If one of your pieces has no room to be placed, it will appear in grey. Make sure to try and clear some room with the remaining pieces.

Your score will appear on the left. Try and beat your high score each time. More blocks and combos mean a better score. Also, note how a line is highlighted when a piece is placed in the game. You can use this to clear lines more easily. You can drag the piece across the board, and check whether you can clear a line with it by seeing if it's highlighted.

If you run out of moves, you'll lose one heart. Be careful not to lose all 3, or you'll have to wait until they recharge.

At the end of a match, you'll see your current score and the moves you've made. If you make enough points, you'll get a new record. You'll also win Stars and Coins.

This is the main menu of the game. I will describe each of its elements.

  1. Coins. You can see your current coin number here. Coins are used to purchase boosts. You can purchase more coins by clicking on the plus sign and accessing the menu.
  2. Hearts. Hearts are your tries. If you fail at a level, you will lose one. If you lose them all, you need to wait for them to recharge. You can purchase more hearts by clicking on the plus sign and accessing the menu.
  3. Settings. You can access the game's settings through this menu. They allow you to change language, and mute sound and music in the game.
  4. Weekly Cup. Face several different levels to clear the weekly cup. This setting is locked until you finish level 4.
  5. Next level. Click here to access the next level. Levels will bring brand new challenges and game mechanics.
  6. Classic mode. Click here to access the game's classic mode, with no goals.
  7. Star Counter. This counter allows you to see how many stars you need until you reach the next world.
  8. Gift Timer. Here is how much time is remaining until you can receive another Login Gift.

Each new level of the game has brand new challenges. From level 2 onwards, new elements are introduced. Gem blocks. These blocks must be removed in numbers according to the objectives on the left side of the game. Once these objectives are completed, the level is finished.

By cleverly completing the objectives, you will be able to finish the level. Once you do, more coins and stars will be rewarded.

The Weekly cup is available from when you beat level 4.

You can win prizes by completing specific puzzles in the Cup. Complete them all!

You can also use Boosts in the game. Undo will undo your last move, and Shuffle will provide you with different blocks from which to choose. When you run out of boosts, you'll have to use Coins to purchase them.

Tips

Here are some tips on how to get better at Blockbuster Puzzle:

  • Plan ahead: Look at all your pieces and map out where each one goes before placing the first piece.
  • Keep space open: Avoid leaving random single holes that are hard to fill later.
  • Build combos: Clear multiple lines at the same time or back-to-back lines to score bonus points.
  • Use boosts wisely: The functionality of boosts can be avoided by playing in a smart manner. Choose your moves wisely and leave them for when it counts.

Scoring

Blockbuster Puzzle has no scoring system. This game is meant to be a short progression-based block puzzle game, without a specific scoring system or leaderboard. The game is incompatible with the regular competitive Arkadium leaderboards, and it's meant for simple fun progression.
