BACK TO THE GAME

This article contains the basics of Arkadium’s Block Champ Arena Game.

How to play

Goal. Just like in Block Champ, your goal is to fill full vertical or horizontal lines of blocks to clear them from the board. Except the Arena version of the game pits you against many other players in the Arkadium website.

Simply type your username at the intro and you'll be ready to start.

You can start the game by clicking Start or practice by clicking on Train Me! on the right.

General rules. Placing two lightning blocks in the same row or column will zap the whole line and clear it. You can consult the regular rules for the Block Champ game HERE. The difference between it and Arena, is that you're fighting to be the last player standing among others.

NOTE: you receive three shapes at a time and must use them all before receiving a new set

If you'd like to practice before, you'll be able to see how the match works against a single opponent, and check what the opponent does on his own screen, as seen here. Lines from the opponent mean they're able to throw ice blocks into your field.

Before each match, you'll be in the waiting lobby. Here, you'll be able to see tips scrolling down below, and you'll see other players join your match one by one.

After waiting the amount of time on the screen, the match will begin.

You'll be able to see all of the other players in a match on the bottom left of the screen. As you make more lines, those lines will become ice blocks thrown by your cannon on other players. As you throw more blocks, your cannon will gain more power, as indicated on the top marker.

Block Champ Arena adds other players to the mix.

  • Clearing lines will freeze blocks on an opponent's board. Frozen blocks must be cleared twice before they disappear, unless if you zap them with lightning.

  • Clear two or more lines at once to unleash a power attack. Clearing lines will increase your attack power and higher attack power increases the number of blocks you freeze each time you launch a power attack.

  • Outlast your opponents to win the game.

After the match, you'll be able to see the results screen, with all of the different player strategies being shown in each space. You'll be able to see any mistakes you've made.

Scoring

You can check the basic scoring algorythm of the game in the Block Champ Article, as both of these games share scoring systems.
