BACK TO THE GAME

This article contains everything you need to know about Arkadium’s Connect the Dots Game.

Use the list below to navigate specific topics about Connect the Dots.

How to play

Connect the Dots is a simple color-matching game, where you match same-colored dots in a grid, without crossing over lines.

Within the grid, you have to match all of the different dots with their respective dot of the same color. When you match them all by filling the entire grid, you win the level.

Just purely connecting the dots is not enough. In order to solve each puzzle, you must fill the entire grid. Due to this, a solution that connects the dots through a shorter path may not always be the right call.

This is an example of a Wrong Solution. This is because there are parts of the grid which have not been filled in. Should it be needed, make sure your lines have longer paths to connect through the entire grid.

In the beginning of the game, you can choose between playing the Daily Challenge or the Classic Mode. While the Daily Challenge will give you a new puzzle each day to solve with 3 tries, the Classic Mode will give you levels to progress through. Your number of tries and best time will be shown on the Daily Challenge mode, while the Classic Mode will show you how many levels you've completed.

In the Classic Mode, you'll have level packs to proceed through. Until one is finished, the ones after it will be locked. You will be able to access the new level packs after you've completed the previous ones.

This is the structure that the game offers:

  1. Game Menu. Change your settings here. The move number is shown next to this, with the number of moves you've made so far.
  2. Timer. This is the time elapsed since the puzzle began.
  3. Information. Click to get a quick refresher on the game's rules.
  4. Game options. Use these options to get through each puzzle more easily.
  5. Level number. The number of the level and the level format will be shown here.

The game options are as follow:

The Eraser allows you to remove all of the connections you've made so far.

Undo allows you to remove the last connection you've made.

The Lightbulb connects one line between two dots. You can get them by watching an ad or paying Gems.

Tips

Here are some strategies on how to perform better.

Plan Your Path – Before connecting each dot, scan ahead to see the overall shape.

Look for Patterns – Recognizing shapes or patterns can help anticipate the connection.

Use the options – Don't be afraid to start over with the eraser, play as you go and you'll solve the puzzle quickly!

Scoring

The Daily Challenge score will be posted on the leaderboard. Here is how the final score is tallied:

Total Score = TS + MS

TS = 10.000 x PTL

MS = TS x (10 / NC) x (NC - (NM - NC)) / NM

Where:

  • TS = Time Score

  • MS = Move Score

  • PTL = Percentage of time left (decimal)

  • NC = Total Number of Colours of summed from all grids

  • NM = Total Number of Moves player to complete the Daily Challenge

If players lose halfway through their score will be 0.
