BACK TO THE GAME

This article contains everything you need to know about Arkadium’s Block Champ Gravity Game.

Use the list below to navigate specific topics about Block Champ Gravity.

How to play

Block Champ Gravity is a spin on Arkadium's very own Block Champ, but with a play style similar to popular block-dropping, line-making games.

The game has two modes: Classic Mode and Challenge Mode.

In Classic Mode, you can pick the level you wish to start at. The level will influence the speed at which the blocks fall. Choose higher levels to challenge yourself. Your high score will be displayed at the top.

The game will appear as so on your screen. You can play it using your keyboard, or your mouse. Your score, number of lines and level will appear on the left of the screen, while the next block available will appear on the right.

In the center is where the game is played. Falling blocks will appear slowly from the top of the screen. Your goal, is to drop them, and make lines.

The blocks can be moved left and right as they fall, with the Left and Right Arrow Keys or by Moving the Mouse.

The blocks can be rotated by using the Up Arrow Key or the Right Mouse Button.

The blocks can be instantly dropped by using the Space Key or the Left Mouse Button. This is called a Hard Drop, as opposed to a Soft Drop. When you do Hard Drops, you earn more points according to how far your block is from the space it drops on.

If you make lines, the block lines will disappear and you will earn points. Earning enough points will move you to the next level.

However, if you let the blocks reach the top of the game area, you will lose.

When you do so, you can choose to give up, or to continue in exchange for 50 Gems, or watching an ad.

If you want to play strategically, you can try and use a Boost. Boosts will show you the next 2 blocks instead of just one.

You can get boosts in exchange for watching ads or 15 Gems.

You can also try Challenge Mode. In this mode, you're given a daily challenge to succeed, with clear rules and limits.

If you get through this challenge, you can earn a gold block.

The number of blocks you've earned will be on the start screen of the game. Try to get lots of them!

Tips

Here is how to perform better at Block Champ Gravity:

  • Keep the stack flat.
Avoid creating tall peaks — aim for a smooth, even surface. It makes piece placement much easier.

  • Don’t build to the top.
Always leave yourself space to maneuver. A single misplaced block near the top can end your run fast.

  • Leave a column for the I piece.
Typically, players leave the far-right or far-left column open to score 4 lines at once.

  • Stack efficiently for combos.
Clearing multiple lines back-to-back keeps your momentum and pressure

  • Memorize piece shapes and rotation behavior.
Understanding how each piece fits in different orientations helps you react faster.

  • Master downstacking.
Learn how to dig through messy garbage lines efficiently

  • Play at a consistent rhythm.
Avoid overreacting. The best players stay calm and deliberate even at high speed.

Follow these tips and you'll be a gravity champion!

Scoring

Here's the scoring system for the game:

The amount scored for each line clear depends on 2 factors, the number of lines simultaneously cleared and the current level players are in:

  • 1 Line: 40 × level

  • 2 Lines: 100 × level

  • 3 Lines: 300 × level

  • 4 Lines (Bonus): 1200 × level

Soft Dropping and Hard Dropping also affects the scoring. Here is a small guide:

Your final score in Classic Mode will be placed on the leaderboard.
