Some games that Arkadium offers save progress. Whether it's level progression or saved Crossword puzzles, progress in games functions differently, but it always refers to how much you've played of the game being saved and stored up to a specific point. Some games that feature a score-active system of leaderboards tend to only save temporary progress so that you can resume an older match, progress which gets cleared afterwards. Other level-based games tend to save your entire progress as you complete each stage so that you can start from the last level you've finished. At times, this progress may be lost.
Most Arkadium games save the player's progress in the web browser's local storage. It means that the game progress is associated with your browser and device.
The most common causes of a game's progress being lost are:
- Clearing the browser's cookies.
- Changing device.
- Changing browser.
NOTE: support agents won't be able to restore your progress. If your progress was lost in the Word Hunt game, you can restore it through our bot. Find out how in our article.
If you find that you're constantly losing your progress and login status, it's possible that your browser isn't saving cookies properly. Please verify whether it is using our guide: How do I check whether my browser is saving cookies?
This can also happen when using a browser cleanup process with a program such as CCleaner or other data-clearing procedures. Please be aware of this when using such programs.
NOTE: In some games, such as crosswords, progress issues may occur when using the Safari browser due to its restrictions. We recommend trying Chrome or Firefox for a smoother experience.
Some good news — the Arkadium team is working on a new way of saving your game's progress. Once this update is released, your progress will be associated with your online Arkadium profile — not your web browser.
This means you will have access to your progress in any browser and on any device — as long as you're signed in to your profile.
The games with this feature will have your profile picture visible at the start, like on the screenshot below:

NOTE: Should you be having issues with losing data in a game where your profile is connected, please try signing out of your account, and then sign in again, as there might be trouble accessing the data.
